1. Distance learning programme for Ukrainian women

The humanitarian NGO Small Projects has launched an educational programme for students as part of its support for Ukraine. This programme is a grant from the L'Oreal Fund for Women and is aimed at Ukrainian women, both in Ukraine and abroad. The grant offers e-learning courses taught by one of the best universities in America - Cornell University in New York. The programme will help prepare for higher education, employment and civic engagement by acquiring or improving leadership, entrepreneurship, time management and career building skills. The programme, which consists of nearly 20 hours of hands-on training called "Take the Lead", is an excellent opportunity for participants aged 18 and over with a good command of English to receive the fundamental training necessary to launch a professional career with a decent salary.

Programme content:

Session 1: Leadership - Duration: approximately 4 hours Content:  Motivating a team  Difference between leading and managing  Overcoming challenges  Assessing your leadership
Session 2: Leadership without authority - Duration: approx. 3 hours Content:  Exploring personal social networks  Offering conflict resolution strategies  Distinguishing between motivating factors  Applying expectancy theory and equity theory to influence effort and performance  Describing the impact of leadership on high performing teams
Session 3: Entrepreneurial Mindset - Duration: approx. 3 hours Content:  Gathering resources  Fostering an entrepreneurial mindset  Creating processes and systems for new ideas  Developing and sustaining new opportunities Session 4: Career Assessment Skills - Duration: approximately 3 hours Content:  Exploring your target career paths  Outlining a job search plan  Creating a career assessment  Improving your resume  Interview success  Networking practice  Creating a personal brand
Session 5: Time and Priority Management - Duration: approx. 4 hours Content:  Aligning time with priorities  Auditing priorities to assess whether they are appropriate  Auditing actions to assess time  Evaluation to improve performance

Application process and eligibility: The application process is now open, with a minimum English level of B1 as the courses are taught in this language. Applicants will be required to provide an English language test taken less than 2 years ago, and it is possible to offer tests to individuals who wish to apply but have not yet taken the test or whose test is out of date.

2. Hansen Leadership Institute Leadership Programme, USA, San Diego
The Hansen Leadership Institute conducts an annual fellowship programme that brings together and trains future leaders to promote world peace and international cooperation. The programme includes training in leadership, mediation, conflict resolution and human rights.

Duration: 1-23 July 2024.

Eligibility Requirements:
 Undergraduate students with 2 years of college/university study or postgraduate students with a professional interest in international relations, diplomacy, international economic development or related fields.
 Students must be 20-25 years old at the start of the programme. The supervisor must confirm in writing the candidate's English language proficiency.
 Must have a valid passport with a US visa, if required at the time of the start of the programme.

Financing: visa, airfare, accommodation and tuition fees are covered by the organisers
